Presently Sulibhavi Indrakant is Visiting Professor at Centre for Economic and Social Studies.

Earlier he was RBI Chair Professorship at Council for Social Development, Southern Regional Centre, Hyderabad from February 2013 to January 2019. He was Head, Department of Economics, Osmania University (2006-09) and Chairman, Board of Studies, Department of Economics, Osmania University (2004-06). Professor S. Indrakant an Economist with 32 years of rich research and teaching experience has independently directed and associated with altogether 17 Research Projects sponsored by agencies like UNDP, Ford Foundation, ADB, World Bank, Government of Andhra Pradesh etc.  During his teaching tenure at Osmania University, Hyderabad he has guided successfully 6 M.Phil and 7 Ph D scholars.  His research works are published in reputed journals like Economic and Political Weekly, Indian Economic Journals etc. and edited one book; 20 Research Reports, which include ADB, UNDP and World Bank Publication.  He has 72 Publications to his credit which are published in reputed journals like Economic and Political Weekly, Indian Economic Journal etc.  He has authored six books and edited two books. He has organised two National-Level Seminars, seven Workshops, two Departmental Conferences of Lecturers in Economics and coordinated two Refresher Courses in Economics.  Delivered lectures as Resource Person in over 150 Workshops, Refreshers and Orientation Courses. Also participated and presented Research Papers in over hundred international and national seminars. Has organized national level seminars and workshops.  Also participated and presented research papers in various international and national seminars.  He also served as Member of Board of Editors, Osmania Journal of Social Sciences and Referee for the Asian Economic Review. He is also an examiner for UPSC and APPSC Examinations.
