Brief Profile

Prof. Panchanan Mohanty is currently Professor in Department of English and is Head, Institute of Applied Sciences and Humanities at GLA University, Mathura. He has supervised thirty one PhD scholars for their thesis and supervised thirty seven post graduate students for their project thesis. He has forty three important publications during last ten years. He has published twelve books and thirty one articles in journals such as International Journal of Health Science; International Journal of Allied Science and Clinical Research; Indian Linguistics; Language Endangerment in South Asia; and Journal of Language and Culture. He has written extensively on Indian languages, tribal languages, communication, speech recognition and performance of children, linguistic equality and English pronunciation and spelling and development of segmental phonology. He has also written a biography of a unique Odia word and ‘Odisha’s Culture Past’. His other papers are on Word Frequencies in Indian languages, Dravidian-Odia Contact and English translations of Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
