Brief Profile

Chandrasekhar is an Associate Professor working in the areas of Agricultural Economics, Microfinance, Rural Development and Primary Education. He has 20 years of research and teaching experience.He has obtained M.A and Ph.D in Economics from University of Hyderabad. Prior to Joining CESS he worked in Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi as Assistant Professor. His recent completed projects are “Sample Survey on the Impact of implementation of Aadhaar Based Bio-Metric Attendance System (ABAS) in Government Schools in Telangana” Department of School Education, Government of Telangana,“Assessment of Remedial Assistance Programme across Higher Education Institutions in Telangana” Sponsored by Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE), “Baseline survey under National Child Labour Project Scheme in Telangana (NCLPS)-Phase -II”, 2019, “Baseline survey under National Child Labour Project Scheme in Telangana (NCLPS), Phase-I”, 2018, “Impact Evaluation of Flagship Programmes in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh” 2018,“An Evaluation Study on the Day School for the Children of Rohingya Refugees at Balapur, Hyderabad”, Sponsored by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Telangana State Government, 2017 and “An Evaluation Study on Learning Enhancement Programme (LEP) for Girl Children in Kamareddy District of Telangana State”, Sponsored by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Telangana State Government, 2017.As part of expert group members he participated in preparing a report on “Socio Economic Development of SC/STs” for Planning Department, government of A.P in August, 2012.   • Worked as Assistant Professor in Institute of Economic Growth (IEG), University of Delhi Campus, Delhi for one year 2002-2003.
  • Worked as Assistant Professor in Centre for Economic and Social Studies from 2003-2013.
  • Presently working as Associate Professor in Centre for Economic and Social Studies from 2013 to till date.
