Ph D (Sociology) from University of Hyderabad.

Chippari Krishna Rao holds Ph.D. from the University of Hyderabad (2006) and currently working as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) since June 2007.He has worked for CWS (Centre for World Solidarity) a NGO before joining in CESS. His areas of teaching and research interest covers Science Technology and Society (STS), Sociology of Education & Skill Development and Sociology of Migration. He has published one book, one monograph, three policy briefs, presented papers in international seminars and conferences and published articles in reputed journals. He has also been associated with several research projects sponsored by both national and international agencies at CESS. He participated in the execution of Institutes Research Projects and teaching MPhil and PhD., students at CESS for last 15 years. He was at Bonn, Germany during August – November 2015 to participate in the “Managing Global Governance” programme hosted by Federal Ministry of Germany in collaboration with German Development Institute (GIZ and DIE). He also participated in the training programme on ‘International Futures’ at Berlin, Germany during October 2015. Currently, he is an academic coordinator in the Division for Graduate Studies at the CESS.
