Dr. G R Reddy is a PhD in Economics and presently Advisor to the Government of Telangana (Finance) in the rank of a Cabinet Minister. He was Advisor to Government of Andhra Pradesh (Finance) during 2012-14. He was also Honorary Fellow at Centre for Economic and Social Studies between 2005 and 2010. He worked in various important positions as Advisor to the Thirteenth Finance Commission. He was also World Bank Consultant for Government of Solomon Islands during 2006. His areas of interest are Public Finance Management, Centre-State Fiscal Relations, and Economic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation. He has many important publications in EPW, Financial Express, and Economic Times. He Co-authored a book on “Indian Fiscal Federalism” with Dr. Y V Reddy in 2019; he also Co-authored a book on “Centre-State Financial Relations: A Study in Levels of Development of States” with M L Shastri, in 1988.
