Dr. Dayakar Peddi is an Assistant Professor at Centre for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad. After receiving his master’s in Applied Economics from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India, he completed his PhD in Economics at Madras School of Economics, Chennai, India in 2021 with focus on “Analysis of Land Degradation and its Implications in India”. His research interests include Economics of Environment, Ecological Economics and Economics of Development. He has attended prestigious summer schools including South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) and IGC-ISI summer schools in development economics during his doctoral studies. He has published in several peer-reviewed journals, working papers, and contributed to research projects in the area of economics of climate change, agricultural economics and developmental issues. He has presented his research output at several national and international academic forums including EAERE, AARES, AAERE, INSEE, SAU and IGIDR. Present he teaches microeconomic theory and applied econometrics to PhD students at the CESS.
